LingoDeer - Learn Languages - Latest Quality Issues

This app used to be great. I got quite far in the lessons with just the free version. However, I redownloaded it for the first time since 2019 and found that I could only do the first lesson unless I want to pay to unlock rest of them, thus making this app useless. It prompts you to buy premium on nearly every screen you click on. This is probably the worst case I've ever witnessed of an app turning sour because the developers were overcome by greed. Truly disappointing.

Prefer it over Duolingo. But the pricing is stupidly high if you want to pay for it (not even sure what you get other than not being pestered as much about discount offers), and I'm not sure they know how discounts work, because the 75% off price is clearly not 75% off. At least in Japanese there are a couple of vocab questions that are quite silly, especially numbers where the question and answer are just the same thing.

Korean- best app, tried most of them, don’t expect improvements
Pros: Teaches you who what when where and why you use certain words. Very easy to learn new sentences and sentence structures. There was only one chapter that I had to repeat a few times due to difficulty. Cons: terrible for learning new vocabulary words. There is flash card practice (separate from main lesson) which is nice, but it doesn't drill speaking or typing, so it's very easy to forget the word you just answered 5 seconds ago. And most of the time it will repeat the same question back to back just in audio form, so you're not forced to memorize it, then it moves onto the next word. Overall it's the only app that doesn't require 10 other apps to learn Korean. Well worth the monthly price but… There has been no improvements over the last 6 months, and I don't see a reason for them to improve until their rating drops. They're offering a lifetime membership so the proof is in the pudding. There will be no improvements other than bug/interface fixes until they have a monetary incentive to add anything.

Learned about the app from the ad. It was said that the application is free. I read in the reviews, apparently it used to be so. But now, after completing the first three basic lessons for any further lessons, even just reading the theory, you need to buy a subscription.

It should have been free
Android

A premium subscription is offered, while there is no option to choose a free option, although in comparison with the paid version it is. It's not fair to do this to users who have already had progress in the app. It is necessary either to initially warn about the paid content, or to leave the free version until the end, and this is just a throw in the middle of training.

I use to use this app all the time and recommended it to friends, until you put a price tag on it. Uninstalling.
