Good but desperately really needs some basic improvements
This app is very intuitive and easy to use. I was debating between this and My Net Diary and chose this because it's just easier for me to navigate. There are, however, some very frustrating shortcomings that should be very easy to implement and fix. -Lose It has no option to record basic vitamin, electrolyte, mineral, caffeine, and sugar alcohol intake. Even though nutrition labels mention things like calcium, magnesium, potassium, caffeine, sugar alcohols, you CANNOT record it and that is unbelievably frustrating as someone who wants to. They include a “pill” icon for the custom foods but if you can't even enter the vitamin information what's the point? I need to track my caffeine and I can't. My Net Diary has the option to record all of these and more -The fasting system is very strange. You click a button when you start your intermittent fast and need to click it again when you've ended the fast in order for it to be recorded. There have been so many days where I click the button to start the fast and forget to press it again when I eat the next day. Although I KNOW when I broke the fast, it doesn't let me edit the times I fasted! It just keeps going until I click the button, even if that's 12 hours later. No way to input that you actually did fast for a set amount of time. This is so silly. These two problems alone are making me consider getting used to the format of My Net Diary. It's such a shame because Lose It is so much easier to use and is way more intuitive in my opinion

Used to be great, now a bloated mess with intrusive pop up ads
I had been using this app for years but it's gotten increasingly worse. Incessant upgrade notices, bloated features I'd never use, and a SLOW response time I dealt with. Final straw was the intrusive POPUP ads while inputting meals. Made the app unusable to me as I don't want to sit through an “interactive” ad just to input an apple. Unfortunately removing ads is not worth $40/yr when I'm only interested in basic features. You were once good, LoseIt, but now it's time to move on.

Way too many ads
Latest updates now have a load of ads that break in while in the middle of updating a meal. Pretty annoying!

Made me take a survey, then told me I had to pay.
All I wanted to do was count calories, so I took the long survey it has, then it told me I had to pay. Not a great experience.

Use it daily but the performance is getting worse

Great app overall
Really like this overall, great that the recommend calories changes with your weight and overall very easy to use. I would make two changes: 1. Exercise should be automatically included in the calorie limit for the day, currently, all exercise is set to exclude and you must manually include it 2.tracking streak should be done automatically if you track the four meals

Free Version has become an ad infested nightmare
This hurts to review because there's a solid tool here but the free version all but forces you into paying for the ad free version by hijacking the app multiple times to overlay an ad, a pop up ad, or an AppStore pop up trying to force you into the App Store to buy some other non related piece of software. And this is not an isolated occurrence either. Every time you finish a day, almost every meal you finish entering calories for, these full screen pop ups/hijacks will appear, many of which force you to watch at least 5 or more seconds of the ad before the close button even becomes visible, and usually it's hidden somewhere in the corner, and in a couple of cases the ad forced itself to open my App Store app before I could even close the ad itself. Absolutely infuriating to use and frankly doesn't want me to buy the software on account of how egregious these pop ups have become. It's like the bad old days of the internet before pop up blockers became available.

Suggestion
Adding water intake and changing calorie budget and pressure should be a default and not a premium upgrade
